About

Hi! My name is Joey. I am currently a 3rd year robotics PhD student at the University of Michigan. Before coming to Ann Arbor, I completed a BS in computer engineering at Cal Poly SLO in the central coast of California near the ocean. I am broadly interested in memory for robots and people, and in particular how to effectively apply temporal data to achieve higher levels of scene understanding. At U Mich I am fortunate to be able to take classes in neuroscience to inspire my robotics research. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball (especially beach), training for and competing in triathlons, spending time outdoors, and playing games with friends.
